About Fair Play Farm

Our Story

For many years, our team has wanted to have a dedicated retirement facility for our older show horses. When Cori Trudeau's horse Fair Play needed to be retired, she took the next step and purchased 14 acres in Heber Valley, UT that is now Fair Play Farm & Animal Sanctuary.

After getting the keys to the new farm, there was a lot of work to be done before horses could move in, but that didn't stop us from our rescue work and we quickly acquired our first rescued farm animals.

Fair Play Farm Foundation is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit and is home to fosters and permanent residents. Renovations are ongoing and our first horses moved in November 2022. We continue to grow and provide the best life for all the animals that call Fair Play home.

Meet the Board

Cori Trudeau

Cori is the inspiration and the energy behind Fair Play Farm Foundation. Having spent years working with canine and feline rescue organizations in Utah, Arizona, and Florida, her love for all animals pushed her to expand the rescue effort to small farm animals. Cori is an avid equestrian, helps operate the horse retirement facility, fundraises, fosters, and travels! She splits her time between Park City, UT and Naples, FL, and has two adult children and two canine children: Rylee, a Navajo Nation rescue, and Reece, a crazy, cute mutt.

Hillary Howe

Hillary grew up riding in Heber Valley and has dreamed of acquiring the land that Fair Play calls home for years. Now as a professional horse trainer, Hillary runs her training business less than a mile from Fair Play Farm. She brings her expertise, care, and knowledge to help lead Fair Play Farm and provide care to all the animals that call it home, including her own horse, Lobo. Hillary lives in Park City, UT and has a French Bulldog named Meatball who goes everywhere with her.

Jenna Reid

Jenna grew up in Park City, UT and has always been an animal lover. Jenna is the backbone of Fair Play and keeps everything running day-to-day. She ensures the care of all animals at Fair Play through rain, snow, mud, and sun. Jenna has her retired horse, Pippa, at Fair Play, and her German Shepard, Sam, helps to keep all of the animals in line. Jenna also loves chickens and has a flock at her home in Heber, UT.

Irene Powlick

After years of traveling the country for college and horse shows, Irene has settled back in her hometown of Salt Lake City, UT. Irene works full-time in biotech but brings her love of animals to Fair Play and helps at the farm however is needed. Irene volunteers at Utah's Hogle Zoo and continues to ride and show on her horse, Beans. Irene also has two cats, Millie and Cora, and two rabbits, Kevin and a foster named Flora.
